Who’s Behind The Reptile Room?

Hey there!

My name is Christopher and I want to thank you for stopping by my little slice of the internet! You made it here because you’re interested in learning more about what The Reptile Room is all about.

Simply put, I want to help improve the lives of herps and the people who keep them by providing high-quality and completely free information about every reptile. Whether it’s a question about leopard gecko behavior or the best way to clean a red-eared slider’s tank we want to cover it.

More knowledgeable keepers mean happier reptiles and that’s what we’re all about.

But I also know that if you’re just starting to care for reptiles things can be pretty confusing. It’s an entirely new world and there’s a lot to learn. We want to help those folks too!

In short, if you love reptiles then you’re in the right place.

Christopher has been collecting, keeping, and thinking about reptiles just every minute since he was 9 years old after seeing a green anole for the first time in Florida. After that, he was hooked. He’s now been an active herper for more than 2 decades and has worked with a huge range of species from the leopard gecko to the King Cobra.

Jessica Warning, Veterinary Technician

Jessica grew up with a pack of six chihuahuas and two cats, so her love for animals started young! With years of experience in the animal husbandry field caring for companion animals (birds, reptiles, rodents, fish, cats, and of course dogs), she began her venture into the veterinary field and has been gaining experience as a vet technician since.

In her free time, you can find her cuddling with her three kitties (and gecko when he lets her), maintaining her fish tanks, or exploring the natural beauty of the Florida Keys and Everglades! You can find her on LinkedIn here.
